Quran-Lab No-Profit License Version 1.1 (NPL-1.1) Copyright (c) 2026 Muno459 / Quran-Lab This model, including its weights, configuration, tokenizer, code, and any file distributed alongside it (the "Model"), is made available under the following terms. By downloading, using, running, copying, or adapting the Model, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Model. Changes from Version 1.0: the attribution requirement has been removed. No credit of any kind is required. Everything else is unchanged. 1. DEFINITIONS "You" means the individual or entity exercising rights under this License. "Derivative" means any work based on the Model, including any fine-tune, further training, quantization, distillation, pruning, format conversion, or re-export, and any model, file, or artifact produced from the Model or from another Derivative. "Profit" means any financial gain, revenue, or benefit obtained in connection with the Model or a Derivative, whether direct or indirect. This includes sale, licensing for a fee, paid products or features, paid subscriptions, advertising revenue, and use as part of, or in support of, any revenue-generating product, service, or operation. "Hosted Service" means making the Model or a Derivative available to other people over a network, for example through an API, a web application, or an inference endpoint. "Local Use" means running the Model or a Derivative for yourself, on your own device or infrastructure, without making it available to other people over a network. "Cost Recovery" means charging the users of a Hosted Service no more than the actual, documented, strictly necessary direct costs of operating that service for those users, such as compute, storage, and bandwidth. Cost Recovery does not include any margin, markup, profit, salaries beyond direct operation, or overhead unrelated to running the service, and never includes any amount that yields Profit. 2. GRANT Subject to the conditions below, You are granted a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, run, copy, and create Derivatives of the Model, solely for non-profit purposes. 3. NO PROFIT You may not use the Model or any Derivative to obtain Profit. No sale, no paid product or feature, no paid subscription, no advertising monetization, and no use as part of or in support of any revenue-generating product, service, or operation is permitted. This applies to the app or service as a whole, not only to the feature that uses the Model. An application that charges its users for anything, even for features unrelated to the Model, is a revenue-generating product and is not permitted to include the Model. 4. LOCAL USE MUST BE FREE Local Use must be free of charge. No money may change hands in connection with Local Use of the Model or a Derivative. 5. HOSTED SERVICE: COST RECOVERY ONLY You may operate the Model or a Derivative as a Hosted Service only on a Cost Recovery basis. You may recover from users no more than Cost Recovery as defined above, and never any amount that yields Profit. On reasonable request, You must be able to demonstrate that the amounts charged do not exceed Cost Recovery. Cost Recovery covers the cost of running the Model for a user. It does not cover development time, effort, expertise, support, or a service fee, and no user may be denied the Model for declining to pay. 6. NO ATTRIBUTION REQUIRED No credit, acknowledgement, or attribution to the author is required, in any form, anywhere. You must retain this License file when you distribute the Model or a Derivative (see Section 7), but you owe the author no mention. 7. SHARE-ALIKE You must distribute and make available every Derivative under this same License, Version 1.1, with no additional or different terms. You may not sublicense the Model or a Derivative under any other license, and You may not relicense a Derivative to remove or weaken these terms. 8. UPSTREAM COMPONENTS Where this Model builds on upstream components released under other terms, those components retain their own terms for their original portions, and this License governs the Model as distributed in this repository. Nothing here purports to revoke any rights granted by an upstream license for the original upstream material. Any upstream components are identified in the repository README. 9. NO COMMERCIAL LICENSE There is no commercial license for this Model and none will be granted. It is not available for a fee, a revenue share, a one-time payment, or any other arrangement. If your use requires Profit as defined above, you do not have a license under these terms and no separate license is obtainable. 10. TERMINATION Any use that breaches these terms immediately and automatically ends the rights granted to You under this License. 11. NO WARRANTY The Model is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from or in connection with the Model or its use. 12. NOT LEGAL ADVICE This License text sets out the author's terms of use for the Model. It is not, and does not constitute, legal advice.
